RecykArt is our evolving approach to finding new uses for failed prints, supports and PLA scraps. The material is already being collected, sorted and shredded while we develop the space, tools and methods needed for what comes next.
A real process
Already started. Still evolving.
3D printing sometimes creates failed tests, supports, colour changes and pieces that cannot be sold or used as intended. Instead of treating that material as ordinary waste, we separate and store what can become useful again.
RecykArt is not a large industrial operation, and we do not pretend it is. It is a hands-on workshop project built through testing, learning and small, concrete improvements.
Sort
The material is separated and organized so incompatible plastics and unwanted contaminants are not mixed together.
Shred
The sorted PLA is reduced into smaller pieces and stored while we prepare the next stages of the project.
Recreate
This is the part still being developed: testing methods, tools and new objects that can give the material a useful new form.

A small recovery network
RecykArt does not rely only on material from MartelArt. Friends and other 3D printers also send us some of their PLA scraps so the material can join our sorting and testing process instead of remaining forgotten in a box.
This network is still informal and small. That is exactly what
makes it possible for us to test, learn and build a process that
fits the real scale of our workshop.
